About WaspCON
WaspCON is a 2-day workshop event hosted by OWASP VIT Chennai Student Chapter on the 9th and 10th of October and is targeted for aspiring technical engineers and cyber security enthusiasts. The workshop is packed with fun events and knowledge to understand about the field of cybersecurity and have a taste of what it feels like, even if you haven't a clue about this field. There’s also a hands-on session / CTF event on the first day to get you kicked up with a hands-on feel and a fun quiz the next day to show off your knowledge about cyber security. There are amazing prizes for winners and of course participants don’t go empty handed
Speakers
Prof. Prathamesh Churi
Prof. Prathamesh Churi is an Assistant Professor at NMIMS-Deemed University, Mumbai, and a Research Mentor at Cerebranium, Berlin. A keen research person, his interests include Information Security and Privacy, and Technology-enhanced Learning. He has published more than 40 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences. He has received more than 10 honors at the national and international level, and in 2019, was the recipient of the “Young Researcher Award” by GISR Foundation.
Sudhakar Muthumani
Sudhakar Muthumani founded and presently leads the OWASP-Thoothukudi Chapter.He currently works as a Security Analyst at PrimeFort, Chennai. A programmer who found his passion in security, Mr. Sudhakar has won accolades and appreciation from numerous people, from college administrations to corporations like Xiaomi and Zerossl. He has spoken to hundreds of people at many cybersecurity events, as he works tirelessly to fulfill his mission – to promote awareness even among rural areas.

Sachit Bhatia
He is a Lead Penetration Tester in the Accorian Pvt Ltd based in India. Sachit has 6.5+ years of experience in Information security. He is a Self driven, self motivated and zealous individual having good technical and analytic skills. His Information security experience has been mostly in the realm of Penetration testing and Vulnerability assessments, Network Architect review, Web Application testing, Mobile Application testing, Web APIs testing and Code Review. Sachit holds multiple certifications including Security certificate OSCP, CEH, CRPT, CRTE and has attended CCNA R&S training. He possess high degree of motivation with skills in research and vulnerability analysis. He will be giving us a lecture on Android App Security along with our other speaker-Mr, Raunak Parmar.
Raunak Parmar
Mr. Raunak is a cyber security enthusiast who is interested in cloud and application security. He’s currently working as a Senior Security Engineer at Accorian and is also the author of the 365-Stealer which is a tool that simulates phishing and can be used to execute illicit consent grant attacks. Mr. Raunak is well versed with the skills of penetration testing, web application and python. He has also done other cyber security related projects apart from the 365-stealer tool and is also certified as a Offensive Security Web Expert by Offensive Security. Mr. Raunak will be giving us a lecture on Android App Security along with our other speaker-Mr, Sachit Bhatia.
